Spiritual Crisis Support
If you are in immediate danger or thinking about harming yourself or others, please get help now.
In the United States, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or call 911 for emergencies.
Outside the US, find a free, confidential helpline in your country at findahelpline.com, or call your local emergency number.
A reading is not crisis support. Shamans on our platform are not counselors or medical professionals, and they can't help in an emergency. Please contact the services above first.
When spiritual experiences feel overwhelming
Sometimes spiritual practice, grief, a major life change or an intense experience can leave people feeling frightened, confused or disconnected. If that's happening to you:
- Talk to someone you trust, such as a friend, family member, faith leader or doctor.
- Look after the basics: sleep, food, water and time away from intense practices.
- Pause any practice, ritual or substance that seems to be making things worse.
- Consider speaking with a licensed mental health professional. Many respect clients' spiritual beliefs.
